Common questions

Why do the Smarterly comparison tables show portfolios as well as individual funds?

It's sensible to spread your investments over a range of funds in a portfolio. This is one of the most important principles of investing and is called diversification.

We show both funds and portfolios in our comparison results so you can see how much difference diversification makes to the projected returns. The projected returns on portfolios are usually quite a bit higher for the same level of risk.
