How much is my ISA allowance?

The total ISA allowance for the tax year 2018/19 ending 5 Apr 2019 is £20,000. This amount can be split between a "cash" ISA and the a "stocks and shares" ISA in whatever proportions you wish.

So, for example, you could:

  • put nothing into a cash ISA and £20,000 into a stocks and shares ISA
  • put £20,000 into a cash ISA and nothing into a stocks and shares ISA
  • put £10,000 into a cash ISA and £10,000 into a stocks and shares ISA

At we only offer stock and share ISAs.

If you're an existing customer, you can find out how much ISA allowance you have left this year by logging into your account (look on the home tab, just under the investment balances).

Please note that the used ISA allowance shown in your account might not include money paid in in the last few days, as we do not update our records until transactions fully complete. Also, it does not allow for any other ISAs that you may hold with other providers.
