Common questions

How can Smarterly provide an ISA invested in more than one fund manager?

You're only allowed one "stocks and shares" ISA a year, but there's no reason why you have to invest it all in one fund, or even with the same fund manager.

We don't provide the ISA ourselves. Our investment platform partner, Cofunds, act as ISA manager and provide an ISA that allows your investments to be spread out across different funds and managers.

Spreading your money allows each individual fund to be slightly riskier, which helps boost projected returns, whilst still controlling the overall risk of the investment.

This means we can offer readymade portfolios with higher projected returns than alternative investment strategies with the same risk profile.
